Most young pups can’t help but want to chase chickens because they see them as something to play with. Because Woof has been introduced to the chickens early it has just become a part of his environment that he will grow up being comfortable with.
When a young pup first encounters another animal a lot depends on our reaction. If we raise our voice at the pup we will get a different reaction than if we stay calm. Over Woof’s first couple of weeks with me he has had the opportunity to interact with the chickens and because I stay calm he stays calm.
As you can see in these two videos he has grown a lot in just two weeks.
