Just recently I have had the opportunity to witness the top boar in the block being taken over by the next boar. The black boar has been at the top of the pecking order for about five years. So it was good to be in a situation where I could see the next boar down taken advantage of the main boar getting older. I first noticed the black boar was walking with a bad limp on his front leg. Not long after this I got to see Boris and the black boar having a fight. As soon as I realized what was about to happen I ran up to the house to grab my phone to film what was about to happen. I did not have to wait long when a fight started even though the black boar was injured he still put in a good fight. These boars would have been fighting for some time and now I can see by the body posture that Boris know considers himself the top boar.
