Woof in the training block

After giving Woof his 1st hunt two days ago I wanted to give him his second turn in my training block.
Last time I had Woof in the training block four days ago he gave a couple of barks of encouragement that’s why I decided to take him for his first hunt.

On Woof’s hunt he showed most of his interest in the pig in his first ten minutes and as I stated in my article that I did not have enough space on my phone so did not get to film the first ten minutes.
So today I had my phone ready. I took Gus, Bruce and Woof. It was starting to snow as I walked away from the house, but once inside the trees it was OK. It didn’t take long to get a bail going and watching Woof he was very cautious at the start but then got into bailing from a safe distance.

Same as the other day, after about ten minutes Woof looked bored with the bailing. I did give the dogs another ten minutes but Woof was not joining in so I called the dogs off.

Woof is at the stage now where he will learn to bail for longer as his confidence grows.
