Tree prunning

Two trees before pruning
1st pruned tree today

No hunting today as I have so much work to do on the block. My wife and I are planning on building a house on the block but first I had to prune the trees back from the track in so that we could get trucks in.  My first chain saw packed the sad on me two weeks ago so I had to go out and buy a new one. I settled on a 30 cc brand new STIHL with 14 inch bar. Its a good little saw as I can maneuver it around with one hand while hanging onto the tree with the other hand.

Not to many trees left to go and the whole track will be lined with

large mature pines. The first two trees that I wanted to prune today would have been blocking the view from where we want to build. You can see in the photos how much of a difference the pruned trees make to the view.

I finally stopped the chain saw at 5.30 pm and went down to the hut to relax and have some cheese and crackers. While the dogs where sitting around I also had the sheep coming over to see if they could convince me to give them some sheep nuts to eat. It is so easy to relax with so many friendly animal
