Being charged

While I was at home sitting on my deck I spotted a good black boar opposite the house. This boar was born on my place and has hung around ever since but today I decided to take Bro and Gus for some extra training. At the same time I took some grass seed over to put onto the area that he had been digging up. The dogs didn’t take long to find and bail him. As I closed in on the bail the boar charged the dogs and Bro ran straight into me almost knocking me off my feet. The boar backed back up before coming around the matagouri bush at me. I was thinking surely he won’t have a go at me, next minute he’s trying to give me a battle scare so I had to kick him off. Luckily he did not open me up. I guess it’s one of the risks we pig hunters face each time we stir up a good boar. Next time I’ll need to be a bit more careful on this boy.
